A general regulation of pollex is the more embroidering the less contusions. If you are playing in a wooded country, fatigues are an obvious pick, but playing indoors, a twosome of shirts and a brace of denims work really good. There is one thing that you must neer play paintball without. That is a face mask. It needs to cover your full face and include goggles. If you are hit in the oculus with a paintball it will set your oculus out. The first thing you need to make to get down playing paintball is happen a paintball gun and some paintballs. Since the athletics of paintball has risen dramatically over the past few old ages happening these necessities for the game is easy. If you are playing for an drawn-out sum of clip and will be utilizing a big sum of paintballs, so a half of a instance will be a good sum of pigment to get down with. An mean instance contains about two thousand unit of ammunitions, or paintballs. Basically a paintball is a ball with the diameter of a dime that contains pigment. The paintballs come in assorted colourss and keep many colourss of pigment. The exterior is a fictile stuff that is easy broken. You can split a paintball by merely squashing it between your fingers. After you have bought your paintballs, you now need to acquire a gun. There are two basic types of guns used in paintballing, and they merely differ because of their beginning of force. The most common gun is powered by air force. A little armored combat vehicle is filled with air and screwed into the dorsum of your gun. These guns work really good for novices and you get fundamentally the same consequences. The 2nd type of gun receives its power from N. It sounds more unsafe than it is. More force can be put on the paintball with these guns. Since you are a novice you choose an air powered pigment gun. The first thing that needs to be done after you have gotten the basic equipment is load your air armored combat vehicle and put the velocity on your gun. With lading your air armored combat vehicle, all you have to make is link your air armored combat vehicle with another larger air armored combat vehicle and make full it up. The air armored combat vehicle that goes on your gun has a gage that tells you when its full or when it needs to be filled up once more. The following thing you need to make to fix your gun for shot is set the velocity of the pigment as it comes out. The professional paintballers set their guns at least at three 100 pess per second, but novices need to put their guns at a velocity no lower than two 100 and 60 pess per second, because any lower than that would non let the pigment to split on impact. After sleep togethering your air armored combat vehicle back into your gun and puting your gun # 8217 ; s velocity, you now need to lade your gun with paintballs. Si nce you will used between 50 and a 100 paintballs during one game ( the mean game enduring approximately 10 proceedingss ) a holder for paintballs sits on the top of your gun. This holder is referred to as a hopper. It is ever a good thought to get down with a full hopper because it is a really bad thing to run out of pigment during a game. Before you begin to play you need to cognize some basic regulations to beginner paintball. Most of the regulations are common sense. The indoor country is divided into half with a line down the center. On each half, there is a chief roadblock that each squad starts out behind. You can neer traverse or even step over the line that divides the country into half. You will instantly be taken out of the game. You can neer be in the playing country without a facemask on. If the facemask comes even half manner off you must go out the playing country. You can non hit the referees or shoot before the referees blow the whistling. If you get hit with a paintball, yell paint cheque. The referee will come to see if you have been it. Never leave the paintball country without holding a stopper ( a little plastic device that doesn # 8217 ; t let the pigment ball gun to shoot ) in your gun. You should neer hit at the ceiling or anyplace without looking. After cognizing all that it is now clip to play. You must first pick squads. With such a little playing country, a squad of six to eight will be perfect. Now you pull down your mask and continue into the playing country. The first thing you do is travel to your side of the country. You need to do some pattern shootings to guarantee that your gun is working decently, so you take out your stopper and shoot a twosome of paintballs at the floor or wall. Now you are ready to play. The referee asks each squad if they are ready and upon a positive response from each squad they say ready. When the referee says ready that is your cue to acquire behind the chief roadblock and indicate your gun to the wall straight behind the chief roadblock. Equally shortly as the referees blow their whistling you may travel from behind the chief roadblock and get down hiting. You have to be careful to remain low because if a individual from the opposite squad shoots the top of your caput you will be out. You besides can non maintain your gun up all the clip because if you gun gets hit you will hold to travel out every bit good. The first 30 seconds after the referees blow their whistlings there is rapid paintball fire. No 1 normally gets hit though. Now you must strategize. You have to look for motion and the angle of where pigment is coming from. This must all be done without you exposing your place. Sometimes you can see a leg lodging out of a roadblock and shoot at that. It is besides easier to hit person while they are altering roadblocks. Sometimes if a batch of clip elapses during a game, a clip bound is called and no 1 wins. As one squad easy weeds out another, you get an thought of where everyone is located. You shoot toward this way, sometimes a gun will start up and even their caput so you merely fire off, trusting you will hit them. The game eventually ends when one squad is wholly annihilated or they surrender. After game is called, a cheer rises from the winning squad. The squads that were merely playing attempt to calculate out who shot who and where everyone was located at. You besides compare # 8220 ; wounds # 8221 ; . The hurting of being shot by a paintball is non that bad, that is if the paintball explodes on impact. If the paintball does non start on impact, so you are left with a sore topographic point for a twosome of yearss. Even if the paintball does work decently, you are normally left with a contusion, but the hurting leaves after several proceedingss. Playing paintball is a fun avocation. It is a great game for releasing emphasis and tenseness. The downside to paintball is that it is rather violent. Everyone should play paintball one time in their life to make full the epinephrine haste and fight of the game. Its like no other you will of all time see.

Presidents Drug Policy essays
Presidents Drug Policy essays The President's National Drug Control Strategy 2004 focuses on three key areas: the prevention of drug use, providing treatment for drug addiction, and damaging the economic basis of the drug trade. In the strategy, the President notes a special role for law enforcement, school and community. In addition, the arrest of drug dealers is an important component of the policy. Despite its many positive points, like a focus on treatment, the President's drug policy has several important flaws. Overall, the President's drug policy will be held to be successful if it holds up to long-term goals like reducing drug use and crime that is associated with the use of illegal drugs. Law enforcement plays an important role in the President's drug policy. Importantly, the policy proposes "close alliances between treatment and law enforcement" as part of a larger alliance between the community and government. As an example, the policy notes the case of Shirley Morgan and the growing drug trade in rural Portland near Mount Hood. She headed a community group that coupled a volunteer coalition that collected intelligence on drug activities with the activities of the local police In addition to the need for community involvement with law enforcement, the policy notes the importance of law enforcement targeting higher ups in the drug trade. As such, the policy notes the efforts of the multi-agency Special Operations Division (SOD), which works to coordinate the action of different federal agencies with state and local agencies, including Columbian and Mexican counterparts. This coordination plays an important role in stopping "trafficking organizations can span dozens of states and hundreds of jurisdictions." School and community are important components of the President's drug policy. As noted earlier, the policy focuses keenly on the cooperation of community groups with ...

Deciphering Communication Styles between Men and Women Essay
Deciphering Communication Styles between Men and Women - Essay Example For example the communicative style of a child is different from that of teenager or adult. It is the study about communication which has led me understanding the way I interacting with people is more complex than I assume. After studying about communication I have become more observant in communicating with people at home, work and online classrooms. I acknowledge that speaking itself does not constitute communication but equal importance must be given to listening aspect too. It is a two way phenomenon in which, both the speaker and listener have position to comply with. For example, communication between genders has different perspective when closely monitored. When I communicate with my mother and sister I perceive that I am more emotional, but when I talk with my father it is more of action ââ¬â oriented and practical. As per (Sherwood,2013) ââ¬Å"Women communicate through dialogue, discussing emotions, choices and problems. Males remain action-oriented -- the goal of commu nication is to achieve somethingâ⬠. Communication at Home and Gender concept The communication held at home is different from that of workplace or online classrooms. The communication process at home is informal whereas work place and online class rooms are formal. Communication is a two way process and people involved in it largely makes the nature of it. Communication is an art and interacting with women and men in this as a process largely differ. When I perceive the way in which I communicate with my mother and sister, I can understand I am using a different tone and style. I can understand that inequality does exist while communicating with females and males. My talking style is different with my mother and sister and it takes different direction when communicating with my Father. When communicating with men and women we can understand the functionalism concept in them as both the gender convey inequality. When I talk to my mother I find that she wants to connect to me emo tionally and wants to know about my wellbeing and physical status. My mother talks about choices, problems I encounter and think a lot before giving her decisions. Even my sister wants to achieve emotional satisfaction by communicating with me and be playful with me all time. She likes to argue with me without reason to engage more emotionally with me. However, my father is more serious while communicating and is direct in his speech. He gives practical solution to the problems I encounter in life and is guides me for a better living. According to (Lieberman,2009)ââ¬Å"Men like to tell and give information rather than ask questions. They share experiences as a way of being one-upâ⬠. Communication at work place and gender concept Communication at workplace is different from home as the former is a formal environment. In my workplace my main communication is with my manager. My manager is a male and I can identify his communicative style to mostly resemble with my Father. I can find that he is very authoritative in his talking style. He is very reserved person and unlike female colleague is less problem sharing and expressive. When I talk with my female colleague, I find her as a talkative person, who enquires more about my life outside the office. I find her very pacifying compare to my other male colleague. As per (Tannen,2010) ââ¬Å"I have spent more than three decades collecting and analyzing thousands of examples of how women and men interact and have found that menââ¬â¢

Cars without drivers Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
Cars without drivers - Essay Example The development of autonomous cars began in the 1920ââ¬â¢s with the first autonomous car being launched in 1984 BY Carnegie Mellon University. Since then, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and other companies have developed prototypes of the vehicle. The technological rush for computerised objects has led to the rapid evolution of the automobile industry. In 2013, autonomous cars were driven in a traffic jam with normal cars and the states of Nevada, California, Michigan and Florida have made legislations allowing the autonomous cars. Other countries such as Germany, France and UK are also taking steps to embrace this technological advancement The main catalyst for the development of autonomous cars is the exponential rise in road accidents that are mainly caused by human carelessness and errors. As a result, the UK government has invested over 8 million pounds to enhance research and development of these driverless cars to cause a revolution in transportation. According to Mitchell (2015), electric shuttles with no steering wheels will be launched in the summer in Greenwich, UK. Also, The Google Company is the world leader in autonomous cars research since 2010 and already tested its autonomous cars and revealed its findings to the public. However, the developers of these cars have been unable to prepare the cars for unforeseeable circumstances such as flooded roads and other rare incidences, making the cars not as safe. The Google developing team stated that they will need to record these situations as they arise and make precautions for them. Google is hopeful that in the next five years, the driverless cars will be much safer than human drivers and will be the new mode transportation for people. Various modifications such as WI-FI connections are expected to be added. The V2V (Vehicle-to-vehicle) WI-FI radios would enable cars to warn each other of any situations that could be dangerous. The chief executive of Peleton Technology, Mr Josh Switkes states

GRENDEL THE SAVAGE :: essays papers
GRENDEL THE SAVAGE Portraying adolescents as false tragic heroes has been a theme explored in literature throughout the twentieth century. In John Gardnerââ¬â¢s Grendel, the protagonist Grendel, portrayed as a parentless adolescent seeking guidance, finds happiness in violence. Grendel continually commits the ultimate act of evilness, murder on Hrothgarââ¬â¢s mead hall. Gardner creates a character and an environment in, which the reader must feel sorrow for Grendel, in order to have fulfillment by the end of the resolution. However, Gardner uses Grendel and writing in general as tool to communicate his liberal philosophies to a wider audience making it difficult to weep over Grendelââ¬â¢s death. Grendel is not a misguided youth; he is a monster who willingly takes part in his death by indulging himself in violence. In Grendel, the protagonist spends his ephemeral life attacking Hrothgarââ¬â¢s mead hall, and Grendel takes the lives of Hrothgarââ¬â¢s men during the raids. When Grendel encounters the dragon, Grendel turns into a barbaric machine, after his self-realization. After the dragon, Grendel begins his contentious ââ¬Å"warâ⬠with Hrothgar. The attacks on Hrothgar are essentially a deranged pastime for Grendel. After the attacks, Grendel feels some remorse, although this could merely be a biological reaction to the tyranny. Even if Grendel feels remorse, it is still no excuse to slaughter. If Grendelââ¬â¢s attacks are means of survival, then he must surely realize his death is necessary. Grendel returns to the mead hall repeatedly, even after the scenes of sick compassion. Grendelââ¬â¢s regrets only last long enough for the reader to see another side of him. The side of remorse and regret quickly disappears as he feels the hunger of death again. Grendel is a three ââ¬â dimensional character. At the same time, Grendel can lose his confused frivolous existence and become a bloodthirsty killer. Grendel reflects modern troubled youth. He is lost in a corrupt world and consequently the use of violence is a means of short-term escape. Although we want to see Grendel saved, it is impossible to aid all adolescents in troubled. In addition, if we say Grendelââ¬â¢s acts are justifiable because he lives in terrible world, we are also saying it is justifiable for a drug dealer to deal out drugs. In order to maintain balance in civilization, we must have equal shares of compassion and common sense. Common sense tells us children are not products of their environment.

Fantastic Voyage
Everyone board the mini-sub! Lora has a bacterium that is invading the lower lobe of her right lung. We must go now! We must destroy this bacterium before it makes her sick! We cannot let that happen her Lora. As of right now, we are entering the right femoral vein, close to the groin. The right femoral vein is parallel with the femoral artery through the upper thigh and pelvic region. It is one of the larger veins in the body. The femoral vein returns blood into the leg to the heart through the iliac vein. The right femoral vein comes from the abdomen. This vein collects blood from many veins in the body such as the hepatic, lumbar, gonadal, renal, and phrenic. We then go through the inguinal ligament. The inguinal ligament protects the tissue movement between the trunk and the lower extremities (Sajmay, 2013). It then continues as the right external iliac which comes together to the inferior vena cava, also known as the posterior vena cava. It is a vein that carries deoxygenated blood from the lower body to the heart. From there, the inferior vena cava leads to the right atrium of the heart. The right atrium is only one of the four hollow chambers of the heart. It receives blood from the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava. The blood that comes through these veins is low in oxygen (ââ¬Å"Right Atriumâ⬠, n. d. ). After passing through the right atrium, we pass through the right atrioventricular (AV) valve, also called the tricuspid valve, and then we shall go through the right ventricle, lower right-hand chamber of the heart that pumps blood from the right atrium into the pulmonary arteries then to the lungs, to the pulmonary valve, or the pulmonary semilunar valve. The valves of the pulmonary semilunar valve opens when the right ventricle contracts. When the muscles relax, blood goes to the pulmonary trunk which then the valve closes to prevent the blood from returning to the right ventricle (ââ¬Å"Right Atriumâ⬠, n. d. ). Before we go through the pulmonary semilunar valve, the wall right here is the interventricular septum. It separates the lower chambers, or the ventricles, of the heart. After that, we will go through the pulmonary trunk to get to the right pulmonary artery which sends blood from the heart to the lungs. The right pulmonary artery carries de-oxygenated blood to the right lung, into all 3 of the lobes. The pulmonary trunk divides into the right and left pulmonary arteries. The right pulmonary artery curves to the right, behind the aorta, and divides into two branches at the root of the right lung (Mosby, 2009). Now that we are in the right lung, we must go to the lower lobe. In the right lung, there are three lobes, the superior, middle, and inferior. It is divided into three lobes by two interlobular fissures, transverse fissure and oblique fissure (Taylor, n. d. ). The superior and middle lobe are separated by a transverse fissure and the middle and inferior lobe are separated by an oblique fissure (ââ¬Å"Structure of the Lungsâ⬠, n. d. ). The left lung and right lung are not the same though. As you see, the right lung has only three lobes, as the left lung has two. They are different in size as the left lung is smaller than the right. The reasoning for this is because your hearts sets in between the lungs so the heart uses some of the space that your left lung is (Taylor, n. d. ). The function of the lungs is pulmonary ventilation, or breathing. Air is inhaled through your nostrils which pass through your trachea and enters the bronchi. Bronchi are two tubes that carry air to the lungs. Bronchioles are smaller branches of bronchi that split off (ââ¬Å"Structure of the Lungsâ⬠, n. . ). Bronchioles divide into even smaller structures to form respiratory bronchioles which lead to the alveolar ducts. Then there are air sacs called alveoli. They are the basic functional units of lungs and have simple squamous epithelial cells. Alveoli cover about 60-70m. Oxygen is exchanged for carbon dioxide from the bloodstream by microscopic structures of the lungs called alveoli. Pl eura protects the lungs with a fluid cushioning system (ââ¬Å"Structure of the Lungsâ⬠, n. d. ). Pleura are a membrane that lines the lung and the wall of the chest cavity. The fluid serves as a lubricant to allow for a smooth movement of the lungs within the chest cavity (Fayed, 2010). Pleura are a place for the development of mesothelioma (Fayed, 2010). Your body fights bacteria by using our immune system. Everyone has an immune system, whether it is a high or low immune system. There are two types of immunity, nonspecific and specific. Nonspecific immunity allows protection against a variety of things rather than protection from certain kinds of bad or invading cells or chemicals (Thibodeau & Patton, n. d. ). There are many types of nonspecific immune defenses in your body. Skin and mucous membranes are nonspecific mechanical barriers that do not allow bacteria and other substances into the body. Tears and mucus are also nonspecific immunity (Thibodeau & Patton, n. d. ). Phagocytosis of bacteria by white blood cells, or WBCs, is a nonspecific form of immunity. Changes in heat, redness, pain and swelling help phagocytic WBCs get to the area of the infection and enter the affected tissue. Specific immunity protects against certain types of invading bacteria or other toxic materials that enter the body or affect the body in a harmful way. The respiratory system filters, warms and humidifies the air we breathe which keeps some bacteria out of our bodies so it does not make us sick or ill. When the germs of pneumonia reach the lungs, the alveoli inflame and fill up with fluid and pus. When someone has pneumonia, oxygen has trouble reaching your blood. When only a little bit of oxygen gets in your blood, body cells do not work correctly. Lobar pneumonia affects a lobe of the lung. It can affect one or both, the right or left. Bronchial pneumonia or bronchopneumonia affects parts of both lungs (ââ¬Å"Understanding Pneumoniaâ⬠, n. d. ). When toxins enter blood, they mess up your bodyââ¬â¢s homeostasis. The body notices then gets rid of the toxins by using the urinary system. To get rid of it, the person urinates and the toxins and other nasty things in the blood come out which restores homeostasis to the normal body functions. Now take that infection. How does that penicillin work for you? It is gone and it will not be coming back. If it does, it will not be as bad if it were to infect her. Thank you everyone for helping me save Lora from getting sick. Hope you enjoyed the voyage. I sure did. I hope you learned something from this and enjoyed the experience.References (2010), Structure of the Lungs. Tutor Vista.
